Just an update.
The single most insulting thing you can ask a parent is "So, do you have a real job?" What type of question is that.. A real job.. No, I just am pretending at being a parent. There was a study done a few years ago, and it was based on what a stay at home mother (or father) would make. It was something in the ball park of over $130,000 a year. ( according to this study). But really, I am not sure how people can ask that question. I've gotten into debates, and even lost "friends:, over the fact that I do not 'work' outside of my home. I don't see the point. I'll be damned if I let someone else raise my children.
The above was a saved draft from a few days ago... this is now :D
It's amazing how many things gmail collects. I just went through my account, see I normally have a modest amount of mb in my gmail account. Lately it's been 7-8 and I've been wracking my brain to figure out why.. I've discovered why. I had messages in my 'sent' folder from 2004! ... So I've gone through it now, and am down to 3mb.. which is pretty good :D
Brin woke me up at the lovely hour of 5 am. I am not even sure why I am fuctioning, I am so tired it's not even remotely funny. I've reinstalled the Sims 2, Sims Pet's, Sims University, Sims Family Fun, and Glamour Life (or some variation of that), and I am currently building a house, I am not even sure why, it is a fun game, at times, othertimes it's simply annoying. heh :D Mr. Fishey is doing well, though this lily plant that is in there, is getting rather huge, I was there was a way to stop the growth of the plant.
I am deviating from my normal course of reading, and picked up "Interview with the vampire", I doubt the author needs introduction. I am amazed at why I skimmed this book in highschool, the way she writes, it's not that hard to believe that people fell in love with her characters. However, I find her to be an complete hypocrite now (since she has 'found jesus').. Anyways, the book is good thus far, and it's nice to read again. You get into sporatic moments where you just don't have time to read in your life, and I find that to be extremely depressing. So I've made the time. I am also reading a bit more to the kids which is good, though I still have problems with some reading outloud, especially Dr. Suess, however I find that I can make up a story fairly well! .. Darn speech impediments! heh...
It';s getting cold here, and the ground was frosted over this morning, I love the fall, when the green gives way to golden hues, I just wish I was able to find the right temperature for my house!
Well, I wish you all a wonderful day!

Oh, ugh, it pisses me off when people think that being a stay-at-home parent is being "too lazy to get a job." My brother thinks like that. Everytime he says that though, I simply reply, "It's obvious you've never owned your own home, or you would understand how much work goes into upkeeping it." And that's not even going into raising children!
I think overall, that kind of attitude just shows immaturity. You wouldn't want to be friends with someone who looks down on you for something like that, anyway. :<
